The City of Los Angeles has amended a proposed expanded polystyrene ban ordinance, and will address that along with a modified single-use bag ban ordinance, and a city facility/events zero waste ordinance, at their Energy, Climate Change, Environmental Justice, and River (ECCEJR) Committee meeting on December 1, 2022 (with the hope to have all three adopted by the full City Council by the end of 2022 if possible). The population of the City of Los Angeles equals about 4 million people, and there are an estimated 32,000 restaurants in LA.
