Establish an Ocean Friendly Social District at Plaza Midwood

Victory: Ensured that the new Plaza Midwood social district employs reusable stainless steel cups for all beverages that will be sold within the social district

The Surfrider Foundation Charlotte Chapter worked with a local Ocean Friendly Restaurant, Giddy Goat, and Envision Charlotte to incorporate into the social district management plan provisions that all participating vendors in the social district will participate in the reusable cup program. The social district and accompanying management plan were approved in October 2023.
